I recently returned home from my second sailing trip across the Caribbean Sea.
It must have seemed like a ‘Hangover 4’ movie. The four of us heading off to sea. We hit Venezuela, gas was 3 cents/liter (we got 200 liters $9 including the tip), and the good rum was $2/btl (we got 35! To be fair I brought 4 home as gifts). And off we went 500 miles of open water ahead of us.
We had amazingly good wind, stunningly flat ocean, caught a 5 ft fish (see FB for a picture) and aside from one of us bonking their head no blood was spilled in the sea. We all got along great and a good time was had by all.
It goes to show sometimes things can go the right way.
It was interesting coming home. It was the first time ever I really enjoyed it. I thought we had a beautiful town, I liked the view from my house and office. I thought my house was nice, etc…
As people age they change and so can their thinking. It’s a good thing to remember about ourselves and others.
